International experience has provided me with a diverse background in art, culture and unique perspectives that inform my work. Living and working abroad provided a fresh perspective on my own values and priorities and shaped a broader, more nuanced worldview.

Mixed media art is an ideal way to express complex ideas and emotions, allowing for a rich, layered experience in my artwork. Themes such as nature, politics and otherworldliness cross over and resonate with each other, in spite of their supposed contradictions. I look for unusual combinations of materials and images to make meaning, or a momentary transposition of images, such as the stark shadow of a sapling cast on the trunk of a mighty Oak. There – is wonder. While discovering connections among materials, ideas and images, it is the things that don’t belong together that sometimes make the most sense.
