What is Mindfulness?
"Mindfulness is awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally, and then, I sometimes add, in the service of self-understanding and wisdom.” says Kabat-Zinn, one of the main Mindfulness authors. Mindfulnes, which is grounded in Buddhist principles, includes breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practices to relax the body and mind and help reduce reactivity and stress.
